GANNA RUSYAVA
Resident of CUTOUT COLLAGE ART PROJECT: October 2022 - Present
Ganna was born in 1997 in the small village of Vesele in the Zaporizhia district. In this area, there was no opportunity to study art and develop in this direction, there were no classes or art school, and this restrained her desire for art, but after graduating from school in 2015.
Ganna entered a school to become a window decorator, where drawing and painting were taught, which made it possible to have an idea of the basics of drawing. In 2016, she entered the Khortytsa National Academy for the specialty "Graphic Design", in profiled subjects, Ganna became interested in Photoshop and Illustrator programs, after graduating in 2018, she received a junior specialist degree.
In 2019, she started working in a retouching studio and at the same time was looking for her instrument in order to be able to express herself through creativity. Ganna experimented with techniques; drew people, nature, tried to invent plots, used various materials: gouache, oil paints, watercolor, was also interested in digital painting and photo processing.
Passion for collage appeared in 2021. Collage combined the desire to learn the technical side of programs and gave an opportunity to express oneself in art. In her works, Ganna uses direct and indirect symbols, likes to experiment with style and themes, always looking for interesting solutions that can be created using Photoshop or Illustrator. In addition to digital, she is also engaged in analog collage using paints, magazines, flowers and other various materials.

ARTWORKS
Collage for me is primarily an internal dialogue, it is a reflection of what is happening to me now.
With the onset of a full-scale invasion, I turned my gaze from internal experiences to external, wanting to highlight the horrific events for the whole world to know about. Such a global view of things caused a strong desire to raise other topics that, in my opinion, need attention, about various phenomena of violence and discrimination.
I'm not good at talking about feelings and thoughts, my artworks do that for me.
