ANNA SAMOILOVYCH
Resident of CUTOUT COLLAGE ART PROJECT : December 2024 - Now
She was born on December 1, 1985 in Kyiv, where she still lives. Creativity has always been an integral part of her life. From an early age, she was drawn to art, first fascinated by drawings, particularly of shoes and clothes, which later developed into fashion illustrations. Later, she started creating postcards, which became the basis for further experiments with collages.
Despite her love for art, she chose to study international marketing and advertising, earning a master's degree at the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management. After graduation, she attended courses on creating designer dolls, which fascinated her for a certain period. She created her own works and participated in exhibitions at the Parsuna Gallery.
Later, the artist started working in an art supply store, which allowed her to experiment with different materials and delve into their properties. At the same time, she continued to develop her skills in card making, scrapbooking, and drawing using various techniques.
After a year of working in an art store, she returned to marketing, but creativity remained an important part of her life. She completed a graphic design course and started creating her first digital collages. While continuing her professional career in marketing, in 2021-2022 she plunged back into art, mastering travel illustration, quick drawing, calligraphy, and animation script writing.
In 2022, due to the full-scale invasion, she moved to Prague for three months. This city became an important source of inspiration for her. When she returned to Kyiv, she became interested in street photography, which was the beginning of her deeper immersion in art. In 2023, she began experimenting with analog photography, which finally determined her creative direction.
In her work, the artist often combines photography, drawing and graphics, experimenting with techniques and creating new unexpected forms. One of her series is the works in which she combines photography with drawings, creating compositions on the verge of reality and artistic dimension. She also works on minimalist digital collages where photography and drawing are harmoniously intertwined.
In 2024, thanks to Natalia Lisova's land art school, she discovered an art that allows her to work with natural materials and emphasize the beauty of landscapes. This added new dimensions to her work and increased the scale of her works.
Today, the artist continues to create works that combine photography, drawing, graphics and land art. She likes to experiment with techniques, using threads, decorative plaster and other materials, turning traditional art into collages. For her, art is a continuous search for new ways of expression that allows her to convey her own perception of the world.

ARTWORKS
Each of my works is a unique journey filled with symbols and characters that shape magical, fantastical, and deeply realistic worlds.
My art is a dialogue between different dimensions and a pursuit of harmony.
I create works in the styles of naïve art, surrealism, and symbolism, drawing inspiration from nature, travels, exploration of places, and real-life stories. My pieces reflect the beauty, strength, and resilience of the environment and people, uniting imagination and reality.
