About the workshop

CREATE FOR UKRAINE - 3-hour art therapeutic collage workshop for community support, fundraising and further awareness of the war in Ukraine 🇺🇦

Presented in collaboration with Kyiv Collage Collective and CUTOUT Ukrainian Contemporary Collage Festival.
People from all over the world came together in a «virtual studio» to create.

Participants were able to:
Meet the founders of the Kyiv Collage Collective and the CUTOUT Ukrainian Contemporary Collage Festival to learn about their war experience.
Practice attentiveness and reflexive writing to gain a foothold in the here and now.
Create a collage to process shared feelings and responses.
Communicate with others in a discussion using works of art in the open.

Almost 30 people joined the art therapy: from America, Canada, Australia, Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Ukraine.

Together we managed to raise over UAH $600!
All funds raised were transferred to the Ukrainian army through savelife.in.ua/donate

Julia Volonts –  Art therapist, presenter and artist specializing in collage and mixed arts. She has a master's degree in professional studies from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Participant of the CUTOUT 2021 festival at the exhibition of international artists.
