MARTA ANDRUSENKO

Resident of CUTOUT COLLAGE ART PROJECT: July 2023 - Present

Marta was born in 1988 in Kyiv. She has been creative since childhood. As a teenager, she was interested in drawing, sewing and beadwork. However, she did not choose a creative profession. Therefore, she received professional and technical and higher education in the specialty "Documentation and information activities".

She drew just for herself. For a long time, she was engaged in the development of designs and the creation of handmade jewelry from beads and threads. But she did not abandon her dream of becoming an artist. And in 2017, inspired, she began to study (independently and thanks to private lessons) oil painting and its technology, composition, form and color. She was looking for her own style.

In 2022, against the background of a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, she realized that she could no longer postpone the realization of her ideas and dreams. A revaluation of values took place. This is how her first abstractions and collages began to appear. Now she has become a resident of the CUTOUT COLLAGE art project and is in the process of creating new works.

ARTWORKS

I am interested in the role of a person in this world, their subjective perception of the world under objective circumstances.

I am not looking for answers to global questions, I am looking into the microcosm, that is, the inner world of a person. What and how exactly I see is a reflection of my life experience and the formed me. Elements of nature are often present in my works as symbols of the beautiful, unexplored, eternal, fleeting like human life. Emotions and feelings are an integral part of my work. Painting and collage are my language of communication.
